Biography
Madhu is a senior academician and an author. She has over 30 years’ experience in Teaching, Research, and Journalism. She has been a Professor of Economics for the post graduate and graduate courses with a leading educational institute under Mumbai University. In her early career, she was a Journalist with the Times of India group, India’s topmost news publishing house. Madhu has presented papers on various topics in economics in international conferences; and also has many research publications to her credit in Indian and global journals. She has deep insight into India’s micro-finance and micro-insurance sectors; and has authored a book on Urban Microfinance – A Contemporary Study of Self-Help Groups.
We draw on Madhu’s expertise in guiding us on the business strategy, organization design, team composition, competency framework, policies, and governance. We also depend on her advice in educating our teams with her inputs on macroeconomic indicators and industry trends that help shape our business strategies, and refine our search methodologies for various industry sectors.
Madhu is a Ph.D. in Economics from SNDT University, Mumbai. She also holds an M.Phil. in Economics from Mumbai University. She is a Post Graduate in Economics from Gurunanak Dev University, Punjab.
